I want to set up solar power in my home. How would i be able to do that? Is there a guide somewhere that can help me set it up?

I am sure that your local library will have books on the subject. Also search Amazon.com for books on Solar Power to buy.

I once took an a 4 day class on the subject just for fun. It was given though my cities classes.

Normally when you buy a kit system it will have instructions. Never the less each part of the system, inverter, charge controller, and even the conduit boxes come with instructions on how to install them.

Here is a link to a 6 meg PDF file with the wireing for the Xantrex XW system. It is only 15 pages each of a drawing.

Here is a link to a page that will tell you step by step how to size a grid tie only system.

Here is a link to a page that will tell you how to size a grid tie system with battery backup.

And here is a link to a page that shows pictures of a off grid system.
